What past workshop participants say the biggest benefit they got out of the workshop was:

"Actually taking photos and cherishing each memory with my child! (okay that's cheesy but the truth) Love the photo-a-day project. Also my pictures are much better with all the tips from your webinars!" - Avanee Patel

"The subtleties that you shared from your own parenting/photography experiences. I got the big messages, but it was the small insights that really helped me understand my own photography and appreciate the things that I do well... and not trying to perfect everything." - Elizabeth Katz

"Should I confess I had 5 years' worth of pictures disorganized on various computers ? Now, they are all organized, by years, on one single editing software, and the best ones are ready to be printed." - spring participant

"Realizing how important it is to take pictures on regular basis. It seems to be a trivial observation but it is not that easy. I am really grateful for your passion not just for photography but for capturing life's moments on film and inspiring me to do the same." - Baha Rudin

"Reignited my love of photography - I now feel like I can capture moments, know how to store, reproduce and share. Have really got a lot of joy out of this class." - Andrea Rivzi

"INSPIRATION... after every live webinar, I felt motivated to action (sometimes I didn't get it finished but I was still inspired to start!) I have been meaning to do so many of these projects but was overwhelmed at the grandness of it. By walking us through each of these projects, it made it fun and much less daunting and now 12 weeks later, I'm really doing it!" - Kelley Vollmer-Bruso

The photosanity worksheet

Before we get started with the workshop, I want to talk a little bit about what photosanity is.... and what it isn't. And then there's a link to a worksheet that will help you figure out what photosanity would look like for you.

What is photosanity?

Photosanity is not about being a professional photographer or taking professional quality photos. It’s not about having every photo come out perfectly. And it’s not about needing to know a lot of technical stuff or having expensive equipment and a lot of time to devote towards photography.

Photosanity is about who you are as a parent and as a family and using personal photography to enhance that experience.

It’s about taking photos that you are happy with right now – photos that you love, that make you smile, that you keep going back to look at over and over, that bring back memories and emotions, and that you’re excited to share with friends and family.

It’s about being less frustrated with the results that you’re getting by understanding some simple tricks to get more consistent results out of your camera.

It’s also about knowing some quick things you can do after the fact to have some fun and make your photos look even better.

It’s about getting to a happy place with how your photos are organized so you are not overwhelmed. It’s about the peace of mind that comes with knowing your photos are being backed up on a regular basis so your memories are protected.

It’s about sharing and enjoying your photos, whether it's online, on display in your home, or through albums and books, and having a plan to continue doing so – a plan that is realistic and easy and fun to implement and that you will actually follow!

It’s about taking photos that make you feel good as a parent and builds an heirloom treasure for your kids and for generations to come.

Photosanity is about creating amazing photo documentation of your children's lives, enhancing your experience as a parent and building the confidence of your children and the connectedness of your family in the process.
